1Corinthians 1
Verse 1. Here we read in verse 1
that Paul was telling all that he was not called by man to the
apostleship but by the Grace of God he was called to do this. Romans
chapter 1 verse 1 it reads 1Paul,
a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto
the gospel of God, Look
what he is saying here separated unto the Gospel of God, Paul was
called by God and through God only could he complete this great
journey he was on. God is still the one today that’s calling the
sinner, the foolish, and the poor, to preach & teach his word
throughout the world today. In Ephesians chapter 2 Gods word reads,
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest
any man should boast.
(Titus 3:5)
Not by works of
righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He
saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the
Holy Spirit”. Any
work that we do for the Lord if we do not do this work with the
intention to further the kingdom of God and we do it to be seen by
man it will be void in Gods eyes. If you are not covered by the
blood of Jesus Christ and not saved the work is void. So many today
think just because they teach or preach or what ever it may be and
that they obey the laws of the land that there ok and on there way
to heaven, but if they have never confessed and received the
cleaning Blood shed on Calvary there work is void to God he does not
recognized them or there works.
Verse 2&3. Paul is addressing the
church of Corinth and in his greeting he says that no matter where
the saints of God gather and call upon the name of God that God will
be in our mist. As God children we are members of a great
fellowship, we are the bride of Christ and the children of God
almighty. Paul blesses them here saying Grace be into you always. It
is by the Grace of God that we have been saved and called upon to do
Gods will. In Romans chapter 1 verse 11 11For I long
to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the
end ye may be established; Paul long to Share the gospel
and all he had learn from his walk with Christ with he fellow
Saints. God today longs to share the gospel and the good news of his
son Jesus Christ and the coming kingdom and glory.
Verse 4 In Romans Chapter I Verse
8 says 8First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for
you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
Let us thank God for all true men and woman that stand on the
word of God. Thank you Lord for my Church Family and for the love of
God they have in there heart. Thank you for the Grace that we
received through your son Jesus Christ. We can do nothing in our
self; only through Christ and Gods Holy Spirit can anything be
accomplished. Thank God each and every day you wake up and for all
his goodness.
Verse 5 What has God enriched us
with? What belongs to God? Everything that God had he gave to his
son Jesus Christ and in turn Jesus Christ gave to us. Grace, Love,
Joy, Peace, Health, Wisdom, Knowledge, Faith, all these and more God
wants us to be enrich with. God wants us to depend solely upon him
for all things. We need to remove anything and everything that holds
us back from doing his will. Let the things of this world go and
concentrate on the heavenly things of God and he will for us. In
Matthew Chapter 6 Verse 33 says,
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all
these things shall be added unto you.
Verse 6 Paul was telling the
Church that through there testimony it was confirmed that they had
received Christ through faith and that they where truly saved. Are
you showing enough light today to show the world that you are a
child of God? Does your life put forth a testimony that you know God
and that you are different from the world and that you are truly
saved. I know I fell sometimes to boost on my Lord and I’m sure that
I’m not alone. We let self get in the way a lot and rob us of our
blessings. We need to stand and show the world that we are different
and that there’s a better way.
Verse 7 Paul is telling the
Church that Christ wants us to have all the tools that we need to
stand so that when he returns that we can stand before him at his
return. God wants us to have every thing we need to carry on his
work. God want send us somewhere that his Grace has not proceeded
first to help us to handle what he puts before us.
Verse 8 Paul told the Church at
Corinth that Jesus Christ would also confirm them before his father.
That you where faithful and you believed that Christ was the son of
God and you have received him as your savior. You will be held
blameless in the day you stand before God if you are covered by the
Blood that was shed on cavalry. Only through Jesus will you be able
to stand before God and be received with open arms.
Verse 9 Paul told them that it
was by the Faith of God that we where called unto the fellowship of
Jesus Christ. Through Gods Grace did we receive the enough faith to
ask for forgiveness? Through the love and mercy that the Father and
Jesus Christ had for all mankind did we receive salvation?
John 15
1I am the true
vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2Every branch in me
that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth
fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3Now ye are clean
through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4Abide in me, and I
in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide
in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5I am the vine, ye
are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same
bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6If a man abide not
in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather
them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7If ye abide in me,
and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall
be done unto you.
8Herein is my
Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my
disciples.
9As the Father hath
loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10If ye keep my
commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my
Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
11These things have
I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your
joy might be full.
12This is my
commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13Greater love hath
no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14Ye are my
friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
